The IAG Performance Version 2 Oil Pickup is a significant upgrade over Subaru’s OEM EJ25 oil pickup. Factory pickups are well-known for their tendency to crack, resulting in catastrophic engine failure due to oil pressure loss. It also features a precision-machined 3/8″ stainless steel flange that is sealed with a Viton O-ring for a secure connection to the engine block. The reinforced stainless steel mounting bracket uses two mounting points for added stability, compared to the single-point design of the OEM version. Furthermore, the oil pickup features a formed bottom with an OEM style mesh screen for reliable filtration. The combination of thicker materials and a two-point mounting bracket ensures this pickup won’t fatigue or fail over time like its OEM counterpart.
