Short Shifter
Designed using CAD technology, the COBB Blue anodized billet shifter body is CNC machined from 6061 Aluminum. Like our original design, the shift throw distance and shift knob height are independently adjustable and both can easily be adjusted with the shifter installed in the vehicle. Steel socket head screws are set in a counter bore for a flush mount and provide clamping force to firmly hold the upper and lower slider shafts in place. This design allows easy independent adjustment of shift knob height and shifter throw length, while being strong enough to stand up to rowing through the gears with extreme enthusiasm. Compatible with the factory shift knob or any aftermarket knobs designed to replace the factory unit. -Knob Height – 1″ higher to 1″ lower -Throw – 10% longer to 25% shorter after cutting the trim ring
Front Shifter Bushing
The popular COBB Subaru 6-Speed Front Shifter Bushing is a direct replacement the soft rubber bushing found at the anchor point of your shifter assembly. This upgraded bushing greatly improves the feel of the shifter by eliminating side-to-side compliance (slop) found in the stock shifter mechanism caused by soft rubber bushings. This bushing is made from 95A durometer urethane and comes with everything needed for an easy installation with simple hand tools. Made in the USA.
Rear Shifter Bushing
The popular COBB Subaru Rear Shifter Bushing is the final piece of the puzzle to eliminating excessive shifter compliance in the factory setup. The Rear Shifter Bushing is a direct replacement for the soft rubber bushing found at the back of the shifter assembly. This upgraded bushing greatly improves the feel of the shifter by reducing side-to-side and front-to-back compliance (slop) found in the stock shifter mechanism caused by soft rubber bushings. This bushing is made from 85A durometer urethane and comes with everything needed for an easy installation with simple hand tools. Works on both 5-speed and 6-speed Subaru manual transmissions.
The COBB Rear Shifter Bushing bolts to the chassis using two bolts that are angled inward, making installation a breeze. Other solutions utilizing straight-through holes can be prone to difficult installation and risk cross-threading of bolts.
Reverse Lockout
The COBB Reverse Lockout Pull replaces the factory, rattle-prone, plastic pieces with machined billet aluminum and delrin. Two choices of anodizing and delrin ensure a match to the 6-Speed COBB Knob. Dual internal o-rings ensure a smooth, rattle-free, operation. The integrated delrin collar keeps heat in check for cars that are exposed to the sun for extended periods.
Shift Knob
The Weighted COBB Knob is designed to keep those extended shifting sessions exhilarating. The billet stainless steel base/insert provides a weight similar to OEM knobs and is internally threaded to provide a tight fit onto the shifter which won’t come loose in the most frenzied of gear changes. The delrin upper section ensures comfortable gear changes in the most extreme climates. Both Race Red and Black lower collars are included. This knob weighs in at 240g.
